Fatigue Life Analysis
Within the scope of fatigue strength tests, the service life of gearboxes, e.g., for vehicles and industrial applications, can be determined under time-variable operating conditions. Load spectra are used to determine this service life on the test rig. These load spectra are determined from real operating conditions and modified for test rig operation. In pulsators or stress test rigs with hydraulic stress motors, the load can vary according to such load spectra during the run. This makes fatigue tests possible.
Load spectra can be run on spur gear, hypoid, and worm test rigs, as well as on multi-plate clutches and synchronizers.
