Prof. Erkorkmaz leaves his full professorship at the University of Waterloo (Canada) at rest for research at the iwb from September 1, 2019 to August 30, 2020. As a proven expert in the fields of CNC control, drive control, structural dynamics, precision mechatronics and machining process simulation, Prof. Erkokmaz will strengthen the machine tool research group at iwb. Planned focal points of the cooperation are in the areas of predictive maintenance, closed-loop manufacturing and milling with industrial robots.
