From October 14 - 18, 2018, four members of the Joining and Cutting Technology group of the Institute for Machine Tools and Industrial Management (iwb) will present their topics to the laser community. With a total of 3 contributions, the iwb is strongly represented this year.

In addition to two lectures on "Process Control and Quality assurance in Remote Laser Beam Welding by Optical Coherence Tomography" by Christian Stadter and the lecture "Inline Weld Depth Measurement for Hight Brilliance Laser Beam Sources Using Optical Coherence Tomography" by Maximilian Schmöller, Jan Bernd Habedank received second prize at the poster award for his poster on "Laser Structuring of Anode Material of Lithium-Ion Batteries".
