CyMePro - Cyber-physical measurement technology for 3D digitization in the networked production

The objective of the research project, CyMePro, is the realization of an automated cyber-physical measurement system. In order to fulfill the required flexibility for small production batches, the system uses an industrial robot and an optical measurement equipment. One of the major challenges of the inspection system is its fully autonomous operation. Therefore, one of the focus areas of the project are the automatic generation of the robot path in a dynamic environment and the adequate parametrization of the measuring equipment. Furthermore, within the project, novel approaches are being investigated to increase the accuracy of the robot-based measurement system based on stitching methods of the measurements.
