Greetings from Schneefernerhaus - LBAM on the top of Germany

From the 6th to the 8th of March, the LBAM research team held a workshop on the highest mountain in Germany, the Zugspitze.

From the 6th to the 8th of March, we held our annual LBAM research workshop on the highest mountain in Germany, the Zugspitze. We stayed at the wonderful Umweltforschungsstation Schneefernerhaus, which is just underneath the summit.

During the workshop, every team member presented current research insights, and we discussed important topics such as research integrity as well as the German funding landscape. Most importantly, we developed the future research strategy for the professorship, based on emerging fields in laser-based Additive Manufacturing - all while enjoying the incredible view.

It was a lot of fun and we made great progress. We want to thank every team member (Jonas Grünewald, Joseph Hofmann, Jan Reimann, Moritz Wittemer, Ruihang Dai, Robin Prudlik, Robert Setter, Thomas Stoll) for their hard work and dedication!

We are excited to further shape the future of Additive Manufacturing.  We will keep you updated on our upcoming research, publications and events. If you are interested in our fields of research or want to be part of the LBAM family and future events feel free to browse our homepage and contact us.

Special thanks to the people working at Schneefernerhaus for the warm welcome and the exciting insights on their research topics!
