At the research day, current projects were presented in the form of interactive stations. Highlights included the driving simulator with a new human-machine interface (HMI), which demonstrated innovative concepts for automated driving, and the Teleoperation Control Center, which allowed participants to experience the remote control of machines and vehicles in real time. The event offered exciting insights into the future of mobility and encouraged discussion about new technologies and their ergonomic design.
A highlight was the "Haptic Proxies for Mixed Reality" station, which demonstrated realistic haptic interactions in virtual environments. The Chair of Sports Equipment and Materials (SpGM) presented the latest developments in sports technology, while Proband15 showcased innovative approaches to human-machine interaction. The Exoskeleton by EASE, a support system for physical work that improves ergonomics and efficiency in industrial processes, garnered particular attention. ThermalNext presented forward-looking solutions for thermal processes, and Conavitra demonstrated concepts for networked and virtual training environments.
The program was rounded out by the flight simulator, which made immersive simulations for research and training tangible. The diversity of topics illustrated how new technologies are shaping the world of work, mobility, and interaction of tomorrow.
