Consortium

The consortium believes that the knowledge and technology for a fully automated mobility solution already exists. The aim of this research project is to demonstrate fully automated driving around the Theresienwiese during the Oktoberfest in Munich with an existing research vehicle from the Technical University of Munich. This is the first automated mobility solution to be implemented, which ensures a robust and safe use even under extreme conditions (unstructured traffic, a large number of different road users, day and night driving). The limits of automation are addressed with the use of teleoperation in conjunction with a control room. The results are robust algorithms and software features for automated driving in unstructured, urban environments.
