Call for Papers

Every year since 2003, the Technical University of Munich, the Bundeswehr University, and the University of Applied Sciences in Munich have been inviting researchers and experts in the field of Lightweight Design to the Munich Symposium on Lightweight Design. The Symposium aims to bring experts from both Academia and Industry together to discuss new developments, processes, and possible applications for pushing research in Lightweight Design. This year’s Munich Symposium on Lightweight Design 2021 will take place over three days as an in-person event at the different participating universities. However, the conference will be changed to a virtual format if necessary to meet the legal demands at the time of the event. Participation is free of charge, you can register here.

We are inviting all interested researchers and industry-related practitioners to present their work. Manuscripts will be published in the Proceedings of the Munich Symposium on Lightweight Design 2021 (Tagungsband zum Münchner Leichtbauseminar 2021) as an online book by Springer Nature. Contributions can be submitted in German or English (guideline: 2-10 pages).
