Curriculum Vitae
Jan Raffel received both his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and his master's degree in mechatronics and robotics from the Leibniz University Hanover. He wrote his bachelor's thesis externally at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada in 2018/2019 with the topic of experimental analysis of flow patterns in Tesla diodes. He completed his master's thesis as part of a project to deliver a helicopter to the surface of Mars at Caltech in Pasadena, California in collaboration with the JPL and NASA in 2022.
During his Masters, he worked at OtoJig GmbH to develop a device to fabricate drilling jigs for minimally invasive cochlear implant surgeries. Since mid of March 2023 he is part of the research group at the Chair of Medical Materials and Implants (MMI).
