Curriculum Vitae
Federico Ciervo received his B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and his M.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Florence.
In his bachelor's thesis, he was involved in the design of a pediatric knee prosthesis adapted for emergency contexts with limited resources. During his master's studies, he spent a semester abroad at the Technical University of Berlin, where he participated in projects related to medical image processing. He then joined the Chair of Medical Materials and Implants at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) for a research internship. Here, he accomplished his master's thesis by developing a bioreactor to apply and evaluate the effects of electrical and magnetic field stimuli on in vitro cell cultures.
Since November 2025, Federico Ciervo has been working as Research Associate at the Chair of Medical Materials and Implants. His current field of research comprises the development of vascular implants using melt electrowriting.
