Curriculum Vitae
Robert Lübcke completed his bachelor’s degree in biomedical technology at the University of Applied Sciences of Landshut and his master’s degree in medical technology at the OTH Amberg-Weiden – Technical University of Applied Sciences.
During his master's degree, he focused on refurbishment and sterilization processes for medical devices. In this context, he was part of the Circular Medical Plastics Engineering (CIMPLE) project. As part of this project, he spent two months at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi, Ghana, investigating improvised sterilization methods used in low-resource settings. Within the framework of the project, he also visited the Adama Science and Technology University in Ethiopia, both institutions being project partners.
For his master’s thesis, he carried out preliminary investigations on an improvised formaldehyde-based sterilization process, with a focus on identifying potential limitations and conditions in which the sterilization may not be effective. The study provided initial insights into possible shortcomings of the system and highlighted potential areas for improvement.
Since August 2025, he is a research assistant at the Chair of Medical Materials and Implants, working on the development and investigation of plasma-activated media.
