Curriculum Vitae

Lunbi Wu received a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Zhejiang University of Technology and an M.Sc. in Medical Technology and Assistive Systems from the Technical University of Munich (TUM). During the master’s program, Wu focused on bioreactor development, computational simulation, and in-vitro testing for cardiovascular applications.

During the studies, Wu worked as a student research assistant on the development of a control system for a vascular trainer. The semester thesis focused on the development of a bioreactor for tissue-engineered heart valves, while the master’s thesis addressed the design and validation of an experimental testing platform for cardiovascular implant applications, including mechanical testing and simulation-based analysis.

Since June 2025, Wu has been a research assistant at the Chair of Medical Materials and Implants, working on bioreactor development, mechanical characterization, and computational simulation of cardiovascular implants and biomaterial systems.
