Together with our colleagues from the Chair of Ergonomics, we successfully took part in this year’s TUM Campus Run – with two strong teams: one running the 5.5 km distance and one taking on the 11 km course.
We’d like to highlight two special moments:
A last-minute dash by Professor Senner:
Shortly before the start, one of our runners had to drop out due to illness. Just 30 minutes before the race, Professor Senner was asked – half-jokingly – if he’d like to jump in. Despite not having trained for months, he said yes, borrowed running shoes and gear, and completed the 5.5 km loop. Respect for this spontaneous sporting spirit!
A strong performance by Team “Usabilityn Bolt (LfE + SpGM) 11 km":
Our 11 km team took second place in the department ranking – the first time our professorship made it to the podium! A fantastic achievement made possible by the dedication of everyone involved.
A big thank-you to the organizers for putting on such a great event! And of course, many thanks to all participants from the Chair of Ergonomics and the Professorship of Sports Equipment and Materials – your participation made it possible for us to enter both the 5.5 km and 11 km races.
And maybe it really was Professor Senner’s last run – but what a way to go out!
