Inhaltliche Voraussetzungen
Lehr- und Lernmethoden
In addition, students work together in groups and prepare a seminar session on a given topic, such as "HRI in healthcare", based on provided and self-researched current literature. Subsequently, in a corresponding session, the topic will be presented by the student group and a discussion round will be held. This may include a workshop, a live demonstration using a robotic platform, or small-group breakout sessions. Thereby, students learn to critically analyze research papers and scientific studies and to subsequently be able to present the state of research to others in an appropriate form. In addition, students learn to prepare and lead a scientific group discussion.
By working with relevant literature in the context of an essay, students will learn to evaluate critical and controversial topics in HRI using scientific criteria and frameworks.
Methods used: Knowledge transfer, presentations, discussion rounds, group work.
Studien-, Prüfungsleistung
1) A presentation (25%) including a subsequent discussion/workshop (25%) will be prepared and held by student groups. The session's topic will be based on provided and independently researched literature in the field of HRI. By this, students will prove their ability to understand common terminologies and concepts in HRI as well as their ability to analyze opposing approaches and theories in HRI research.
2) An essay (3000 - 4000 words; 50%) will be written by each student related to the topic of the respective presentation and discussion topic. Thereby, students are tested regarding their ability to evaluate a specific topic in HRI.
