PERSUASIVE 2026 Conference
During our time in Japan for the PERSUASIVE 2026 Conference, we had the opportunity to visit the University of Tokyo and meet Prof. Manabu Tsukada and Prof. Koji Yatani.
We got to learn about the current research at these labs on automated driving - particularly external human-machine interfaces - as well as on the design of AI-based systems grounded in psychological constructs.
The discussions once again highlighted how essential it is to connect technological innovation with human-centered thinking when shaping future mobility and AI systems.
We wrapped up the day with a visit to the DAWN Avatar Robot Café, where we experienced teleoperated robots serving customers. This unique concept offers new perspectives on accessibility, inclusion, and human-AI interaction, and provided a fascinating real-world example of how technology can meaningfully augment human capabilities.
Thank you for the warm welcome, the inspiring exchange, and these memorable insights - Manabu Tsukada Vishal Chauhan Sakura AKAHOSHI Koji Yatani Dániel S. Xinrui Fang Han Meng Ya-Fang Lin
