Our latest study investigates how the presence and behavior of another pedestrian influences crossing decisions in front of an automated vehicle (AV).
🚶♂️🚗 Using a Wizard-of-Oz setup and a real AV equipped with a 360° external Human-Machine Interface (eHMI), we explored how social cues affect pedestrian behavior in urban settings.
🔍 The results provide important insights for designing AV communication strategies that are robust even in complex multi-user scenarios.
