The EcoWalk project continues: EcoWalk II

We're pleased to announce the continuation of the EcoWalk project with EcoWalk II, supported by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - German Research Foundation. Led by Dr. Daniel Renjewski and in collaboration with MPI-IS led by Dr. Alexander Badri-Spröwitz, Alexandra Buchmann and Bernadett Kiss will delve deeper into the biomechanics of walking and ankle push-off. Building on our previous research, this new 18-month endeavor will focus on exploring the intricacies of walking at different speeds, both above and below preferred walking speeds. In addition, we'll begin exploring simple foot designs tailored for bipedal robots and prostheses to improve their functionality and efficiency. One of the highlights of EcoWalk II will be our work with the remarkable bipedal robot, EcoWalker, which you can see in action here.
