We are excited to announce that the TUM Chair of Applied Mechanics will be hosting an OpenSD Summer School in 2026 in Germany. The Summer School takes place on August 3rd - 6th, 2026 (Monday through Thursday), with an optional Munich City Tour on Sunday, August 2nd, 2026.
Organized by Oliver Maximilian Zobel, M.Sc. at the TUM Chair of Applied Mechanics under Prof. Dr. Daniel Rixen, the summer school is hosted in Garching near Munich. OpenSD2026 Germany is part of OpenSD, initiated by Janko Slavič, and follows the OpenSD 2025 Conference and Summer School held in Ljubljana (Slovenia).
The OpenSD2026 Germany Summer School aims to promote and showcase open-source solutions for structural dynamics. During the Summer School, attendees will learn how to properly use common Python packages for structural dynamics.
