The working group 3.7 under the direction of Dr. habil. Michael Maiwald (BAM) is dedicated to the formulation and definition of requirements for smart field devices. Furthermore, the communication architecture in modern, networked production plants and information security in such environments play a role. The working group thus formulates visions for future generations of automation solutions in the process technology environment.
