The chair fml offers a wide range of teaching and training opportunities. Due to the application orientation in the test and research operation, as well as the close cooperation with the industry, current developments flow directly into the teaching operation.
The chair attaches great importance to basic knowledge and methodology as well as to application-oriented knowledge. These multifaceted competences are taught in lectures such as material flow and logistics, conveying and material flow technology, machine system technology or also special fields such as bulk material conveying or ropeway technology.
The staff of the chair are always available to answer any questions students may have about the lectures during office hours.
In addition to the extensive training in the theoretical basics, the practical implementation of this knowledge is another important aspect of the training at the chair fml.
This can best be achieved through active participation in exercises and internships.
Student research projects - often carried out in cooperation with industrial companies - are a good preparation for the future engineering activities of the students.
"Experience logistics live" is the motto of the many excursions that the chair offers students throughout the year. The trip takes students to companies throughout the region to discover the technology and processes at first hand.
