In 1907, the Technical University of Munich founded an independent "Institute for Lifting and Conveying Equipment". More than 100 years later, materials handling technology is still a central research area of the chair, which is now called the "Chair of
Materials Handling, Material Flow, Logistics" (fml). In this traditional environment and with its openness for new developments, the Chair fml proudly looks back on more than one hundred and ten years of history.
