In our latest research project, "Osaga," we are developing a system that recognizes load characteristics on forklifts. The goal is to increase safety and efficiency in the transportation of goods. Existing technologies require manual and inefficient steps to determine the type, weight and volume of the load, as well as to detect damage. In addition, compliance with the forklift's load chart often cannot be verified. To reduce process steps, waiting time and safety risks, the forklift will be equipped with an upgradeable on-board system. This on-board system includes various sensors that analyze the picking process with AI support.
