Mr. Johannes Hofbauer was awarded the study prize of the SEW-Eurodrive Foundation for his master thesis with the title "Analysis of the dynamic load of mobile cranes using the non-linear finite element method". The work of Mr. Hofbauer made a significant contribution to a better understanding of the dynamic stress of mobile cranes. The newly gained knowledge could be directly incorporated into the further development and improvement of the calculation methods and contributed to the increase of the safety of cranes. The master thesis was supervised by Mr. M. Sc. Manuel Stölzner and Dr.-Ing. Michael Kleeberger.
