Project Description

An essential aspect of the research project is to enable a more accurate result with regard to the bending line of shafts with directly mounted elements. An example of this is the planet pin of an epicyclic gearbox on which the spur gear is directly supported. Tilting of the gear in cylindrical roller bearings Another aspect is the more precise calculation of the tilting of planets in an epicyclic gear. This tilting is due to the axial forces acting on a helical gear. Due to these axial forces, a moment acts which tilts the spur gear. The aim of this project is to calculate this tilting more precisely.

With regard to the load capacity calculation of rolling bearings, a more precise calculation of the load distribution should enable a more accurate statement about the service life. An example of this is the load distribution along a roller in a cylindrical roller bearing. In addition, a short calculation time should be envisaged. Subsequently, it should also be possible to make a more precise statement about necessary flank corrections. Thus, an exact and at the same time fast solution approach shall be formulated.
