Biography

Luis Kalb joined the Chair of Ergonomics as a research associate in May 2017. He earned his bachelor’s degree in product development & engineering design at the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the Technical University of Munich. In his bachelor’s thesis he examined the Out-of-the-Loop effect during conditional automated driving. During his master’s studies of automotive and combustion engine technology at the TUM he explored visual and acoustic information transfer in virtual reality for his semester thesis. For his master’s thesis he developed a real time drowsiness detection for the driving simulator at the LfE. As a research associate he worked on the haptic communication between driver and vehicle during cooperative conditional automated driving as part of the project PAKoS. He is currently working in an international research project called CADJapanGermany: HF in which he investigates international challenges of automated driving with a focus on multi agent scenarios.
