TEST CAMP INTRALOGISTICS will be the new home of the German Material Flow Congress (MFK). On April 15 and 16, 2026, manufacturers, users, planners, consultants and researchers will meet in a specially designed event cube in the Westfalenhalle in Dortmund for an intensive exchange on current developments and future-oriented technologies.
The traditional congress, which was launched by the Association of German Engineers (VDI) in Munich in the mid-1980s, was held at the Technical University of Munich in Garching from 2002 to 2025. It is organized by the VDI Society for Production and Logistics. It is supported by the Chair of Materials Handling, Material Flow, Logistics (fml) at the Technical University of Munich.
"The German Material Flow Congress has established itself over four decades as a leading platform for knowledge transfer, exchange and networking - both in research and among planners, intralogistics providers and their customers. Science meets reality - that's what makes the congress so valuable. If you want to know what really works in intralogistics - and what's coming tomorrow - this is the place to be," says Anita Würmser, Chairwoman of the Jury of the International Intralogistics and Forklift Truck (IFOY) AWARD and manager of TEST CAMP INTRALOGISTICS.
Prof Dr Johannes Fottner, Congress Director and holder of the Chair of Materials Handling, Material Flow, Logistics (fml) at the Technical University of Munich, also sees the change of location as a gain: "The new setting will give the congress a much higher profile. Participants will not only experience a top-class lecture program, but will also be able to test the latest intralogistics and robotics solutions in the TEST CAMP - including the finalists of the IFOY AWARD. There is also real added value for visitors to the TEST CAMP: They can simply add participation in the MFK to their ticket. More practice, more depth, more dialogue - a win-win situation for everyone."
TEST CAMP INTRALOGISTICS will take place for the sixth time at Messe Dortmund in 2026. In the Westfalenhalle, companies from Europe, the USA and Asia will present around 100 innovations from the fields of logistics, intralogistics and robotics. Whether it's a test drive with a forklift truck, working with a co-bot or trying out software - the TEST CAMP INTRALOGISTICS is all about hands-on testing of selected innovations and new developments. Decision-makers from industry, trade and services with a specific interest in innovation and investment will have the opportunity to test the exhibits and find out about the key trends. The TEST CAMP INTRALOGISTICS also forms the exclusive framework for the IFOY TEST DAYS, where the finalists of the IFOY AWARD undergo an audit and various test series. Among other things, the guided highlight tours on various topics and the get-together with networking are popular with participants.
