Our student Philipp Baumgartner recently finished his master’s thesis on "Adaptation of the Work Density Method to special foundation engineering" during an exchange semester at the University of California, Berkeley. Philipp wrote his master's thesis in California as part of a collaboration with Prof. Iris D. Tommelein and the TUM Chair fml. "It was a unique experience to get insights into the teaching and research of such a renowned American university. I would recommend this experience to any student with the opportunity," says Philipp.
