Curriculum Vitae

Dominic Biebl earned his B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and his M.Sc. in Medical Technology and Assistive Systems at the Technical University of Munich (TUM).

During his bachelor's degree, he demonstrated a deep understanding of additive manufacturing, which he skillfully applied in his final thesis at the Professorship for Laser-based Additive Manufacturing at TUM to optimize a 3D printing process of polymers using a thermal imaging camera.

During his Master's degree, Dominic Biebl wrote his term paper at the Chair of Medical Materials and Implants. During this time, he further developed a testing device for accelerated wear testing (AWT) of valve prostheses. In his master's thesis, he used computer simulations to analyze the kinematics of valve prostheses and optimize their design.

Since February 2024, he has been a research assistant at the Chair of Medical Materials and Implants, where he is working on the development and manufacture of heart valve prostheses.
