Curriculum Vitae

Dominik Gau received both his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and his master’s degree in medical technology and engineering from the Technical University of Munich. For his bachelor’s thesis and as a graduate assistant at the Institute of Medical and Polymer Engineering he worked on the development of an algorithm for the generation of individualized palatal plates for cleft lip and palate treatment in early infancy. During a stay abroad at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology he conducted research for his master’s thesis on computationally optimizing segmented soft robotic actuator design to recreate arbitrary trajectories. Dominik Gau has started his work as research assistant at the Chair of Medical Materials and Implants in April 2019.
