ZIM-Project FitFeet approved

The Professorship of Sport Equipment and Sport Materials is pleased about the approved AiF (Arbeitsgemeinschaft industrieller Forschungsvereinigungen) ZIM (Zentrales Innovationsprogramm Mittelstand)-research project entitled "FitFeet" (Förderkennzeichen: KK5012504NK1). Goal of this ZIM-Project is to develop an orthopedic insole with a spiky surface which increases the blood flow and stimulates the feet muscles. With the help of a coupled finite element / multi-body simulation an optimal distribution of varying spike shapes across the insole surface should be found.
The research project will be conducted in collaboration with both Axmann GmbH and eG Themar.
