Biography
Tianyu Tang has been a research associate at the Chair of Ergonomics since August 2022. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Traffic Engineering in China and her master’s degree in Mobility and Infrastructure at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in Germany. Her research focuses on mixed traffic involving automated vehicles. She investigates how automated vehicles are perceived by nearby drivers and how these interactions influence traffic safety and traffic flow. Another research focus is driver behavior modeling, aiming to represent social interactions realistically and to develop credible traffic scenarios for the evaluation of automated driving functions.
Researchers interested in collaboration are welcome to contact her. Students who are interested in these topics are also encouraged to apply for bachelor’s or master’s theses under her supervision.
