Stefan Brunner, M.Sc. has been working as a research assistant at the Chair of Ergonomics since May 2021. His bachelor thesis focused on the optimization of manual screwdriving processes at Wacker Chemie AG. In his master's degree, he studied human factors engineering with specializations in production ergonomics, lean production and Industry 4.0. He also took up these areas as a student assistant at the LfE. As a student trainee, he worked at TÜV Süd in product and occupational safety. In his master's thesis at MAN Truck & Bus, he investigated economic waste in the form of human-caused work errors due to mismanaged employee workload. His research focuses on production ergonomics, production management, and the human in Industry 4.0, which is brought together in Lean Ergonomics, the sub-discipline he founded.
