Motivation
The development of complex systems is facilitated by modern virtual methods. Virtual Product Creation (VPC) methods are of high importance to the development efficiency and product quality of automobiles and their software. To strategically advance the use of VPC methods and thereby enhance the development of the most innovative products, it is necessary to establish metrics for the degree of virtualization. Consequently, new metrics and methodologies are developed and evaluated within the development department of AUDI AG.
