Modeling of Uncertainties with Corresponding Quantification Measures

Working group II.2

The subprojects of the Priority Program 2476 focus on different use cases. Hence, various manufacturing processes and process chains are analysed. However, all of the manufacturing processes as well as process chains are subject to uncertainties. The quantification and especially the modeling of uncertainties regarding the manufacturing process chains are one of the key issues of the priority program. Thus, the working group analyses methods and approaches for the quantification and modeling of uncertainties regarding the manufacturing processes. With respect to the process chains and the submodels, the working group specifically investigates the forward and backward propagation of uncertainty as well. The aim is to cover overcharging questions regarding different methods and approaches for the modeling of uncertainties. Moreover, different approaches and procedures shall be compared.
