At the 15th International Conference on the Engineering of Sports held in Loughborough, Professor Veit Senner was elected a Fellow of the International Sports Engineering Association, in recognition of his continued dedication and impactful contributions to the field of sports engineering. He received this honor alongside his esteemed colleague and friend, Professor Nicola Petrone. At the same conference, Gheorghe Lisca, a research associate in the professorship, received the award for Best Poster Presentation for his work on predicting lumbar load using Deep Reinforcement Learning.
