Specification and evaluation of the functionality of sports products

Abstract:

Sport Sciences play a central role for the specification and evaluation of the functionality of sports products, when the function of a sports product is the link between human and machine. The thesis contains the theoretical background with some basic definitions and framework for sports technology. The methodical procedure for the collection of functional parameters, the loading, the operationalization and evaluation is a proposal for a model of the attractivity of sports products. The empirical test is conducted with an interesting product: the skiboot.
